Webinar on the Election’s Impact on EdTech

Morgan and I been planning for a while to add a webinar feature to On EdTech+, and with the election this week, it seems we have the timing and topic to get started. Our first interactive webinar will be on Monday, November 18th, at 10am PST / 1pm EDT on the likely impact of the election on EdTech. There have (and will continue to be) plenty of articles and discussion of the US federal elections (President, Senate, House) and how this will impact education. We plan to take a different approach.

  • We will focus on the topics we cover: OPM rev share, TPS expansion, Financial Value Transparency / accountability, online education regulations, a national online university, and what happens to the Arnold Ventures-funded coalition.

  • If you want the Resistance or MAGA talking points, or even what different sides want to believe, I can recommend a dozen or more alternate sources. What we’re going to focus on is what is likely to happen and what to look for.

  • While this is technically a webinar from a platform perspective, the actual format will be more conversational like a podcast.
