I spent the week in Berlin being inspired and provoked (in a good way) at OEB Global. But today I am writing to you from Stralsund on the Baltic coast, where I am having a couple of days of down time before heading home.

But now it is time to talk about the sausage, as they say in Germany. Actual sausages.

And what did I read this week?
Adulting
EAB released a new report examining the enrollment priorities of adult learners. It reveals that adult learners are distinct from traditional students and are increasingly turning to AI to help them identify schools that align with their needs. However, two findings particularly caught my attention: the critical importance of costs, and adult students' preferences for specific learning modalities.
Costs
Cost has emerged as the most significant factor driving adult students' program selection decisions. For these students, cost considerations operate in both positive and negative ways. On the positive side, program cost now ranks higher than other traditionally important factors such as institutional reputation and job placement rates when adults make their educational choices.
Conversely, cost also serves as a significant barrier to enrollment.
