Connection is both a good and a bad thing, depending on the context in which you are working. This week I have been thinking about connections and the way that they work.

The university lonely hearts club band

The UPP Foundation in the UK (a foundation created by the University Partnerships Programme, a provider of residential and academic infrastructure such as dorms, etc) published a follow up to their 2021 survey about the impact of the pandemic. There is some good news and some bad news. The good news is that students feel well supported in making the transition to higher education, and the extent to which students feel supported as they start their term is much improved from 2021 (as it should be).

The bad news is that some students feel isolated and lonely while attending university.
