It’s starting to feel like the dog days of summer. I’m not headed to the beach anytime soon, but for those of you who are luckier, think of this as the IRTW version of a beach read, and it comes with plenty of pictures. Where did I find them?
That’s a bit of a shift
From a recent Public Agenda email comes a stark reminder of how public opinion about higher education has shifted.

The first question is either poorly framed or intentionally provocative. Either way, the shift in opinions from 1999 to 2016, and likely even further since then, is not a good sign for higher education. Restoring higher education’s standing in public opinion should be a top priority for everyone in the sector right now.
